| Camp Glisson is a year-round
retreat and summer youth camp owned by the North Georgia
Conference of the United Methodist Church. Its purpose is
to encourage young persons in spiritual growth. Five or
six campers stay in cabins with their counselor to make
this traditional camp experience happen. Living groups
are composed of one boys' cabin with one girls' cabin,
and they join together each day for meals, worship, and
counselor-planned group activities. Interest groups,
taught by counselors, provide for two free activity
choices for campers. Singing-On-The-Porch, a long-time
Camp Glisson tradition, brings the Village and
Sparrowwood camps together daily to enjoy a time of
musical fun. Our great God, great counselors, great fun,
and great food makes Village Camp the place to be this
