Forsyth United Methodist Church

Youth Ensemble Summer Tour

Day 1   After performing at the church during the traditional worship hour, the youth ensemble shared a Father's Day covered dish lunch with their families in the fellowship hall.

Then it was off to Jacksonville for the night. We had a brief stop in Macon to fix a brake light and then were on our way with some noisy vans, quieted at times thanks to DVD players! We stopped in Savannah for a short break complete with a soccer match at the gas station. After some gatorade, we were on our way to Jacksonville.

Once arriving in Florida, we had 22 hungry travelers. Next stop, Cici's pizza for some nourishment! This also included some video games.

Then off to LaQuinta for an evening of fun in the pool or hallway soccer!

We finished up the evening with a devotion from Psalm 95.

1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
       let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
       and extol him with music and song.

 3 For the LORD is the great God,
       the great King above all gods.

Not a bad start for a group of tourists!
