| Following the worship service on June 22nd,several of our young people headed to Dahlonega for a week at Camp Glisson. Prior to departing there was a sandwich lunch and blessing by Ken. This is one of the missions of the North Georgia United Methodist Conference. Since 1925 children and youth have been invited by North Georgia United Methodist Churches to the forest surrounding Cane Creek Falls just north of Dahlonega. Over the years this place, now known as Camp Glisson, has become holy ground as thousands have experienced God's loving presence through the beauty and the people in their time here at camp. Creek hikes, kayaking, campfires, games, worship, swimming, climbing and play combine to provide opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. | ||
