Day 2 - Faith and Fun

The day began with a continental breakfast at the hotel. We then boarded the bus for the short trip to Grace United Methodist Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. We set up and warmed up and then had another breakfast with doughnuts before the Lifesong Contemporary Service where we were warmly greeted. Afterwards, the children were invited to Sunday School for yet another breakfast - we could not get the kids to eat doughnuts any more that day! Following our performance at Grace UMC, we headed over to the worship service at Stevens Creek Community Church. This was a creative worship service with band, drama, and message. The sermon was an introduction to the four part series on "one prayer," which can be continued online at www.oneprayer.com. More information about the church can be found at www.stevenscreek.net. After a morning of sharing with these church families, we headed to Ryans for the lunch buffet. Then a little trip to Walmart (no trip is complete without at least one stop at Walmart) for some snacks and forgotten items. Following this, we spent an afternoon of fun at the hotel with some free time. We then had pizza in the lounge of the hotel and sang a few songs for the hotel crew and guests. We finished the day out by the pool with our evening devotional. Jody spoke on the passage we discussed at Stevens Creek Church (Luke 12:1-10). We talked about unanswered prayers and the power of persistent and bold prayers.
