| On Patriot's Day
(September 11th), the Vineyard Sunday School Class went
to Atlanta for a meal at the Varsity and then attended
the Braves - Expos game. Before the game, a parade of
Metro Atlanta Police Officers made their way around the
field on motorcycles. During the National Anthem, members
of Metro Atlanta Fire Departments unfurled a giant flag
in center field, and there was a flyover after the
National Anthem, performed by members of the U.S. Navy
from the Naval Air Station Atlanta. It was a great time
for all 52 people who went. The Braves won and Forsyth
United Methodist Church was recognized on the Jumbo
Screen as one of the groups attending. |
